Hi Iliana,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed learning about the air and water quality in your community. I do not spend a lot of time in Sacramento county, so I gained a lot of knowledge from your post. It was interesting to read that the county you live in has 17 top polluters. I know methanol is a fairly poisonous chemical, so it was shocking to know that is was one of the top 3 polluters in your community. Being that Sacramento county encompasses the state capital, there must be a significant amount of traffic there, which may contribute to it being in the top 10% dirtiest/worst air quality among all counties in the U.S.; the county I live in also feel within the same percentile and my inference is that the Bay Area traffic is a contributor. It was interesting to see that Aerojet came up in both the top polluters and superfund sites in your community. I am now curious as to what types of things they produce and manufacture.
Again, really enjoyed reading your post.
